Located approximately 3 blocks from the Rhode Island metro station on the red line, 2.5 blocks from the Giant, CVS and all the dining options in Rhode Island Row market, this property was a fun restoration project that took our crew 3 months to complete.

Our strategy for the project was to turn it into a perfect starter home for a single or a young couple looking for an affordable cozy property inside the District. We spent a significant amount of time designing an open floor that offered comfort, functionality and originality.

 

1358 KENYON ST NW COLUMBIA HEIGHTS

1358 Kenyon Street was an exciting project that took our development crew 3 months to complete. We were tasked to convert an outdated 1 bedroom basement of a 1900's mansion into a modern 2 bd/ 2 ba spacious rental unit. This required diligent engineering and mechanical maneuvering in order to separate out the basement unit from the main house while maintaining its charming historic characters. 

The project consisted of the full gut rehabilitation of the entire unit, replacing the main sewer drainage, all new systems including HVAC, ductwork, electrical and plumping. 

Design decisions were made to create industrial style unit, including light hardwood floors, large windows, open floor plans and exposed brick walls throughout the main living room and hallway.
